Waking up feeling refreshed, we were more than eager to check out what Day Two of WebX 2024, hosted by CoinPost, had in store for us. Would it be another latest, groundbreaking Web3 technology? Anime fans, rejoice! This section was a feast for the eyes, showcasing Japan’s legendary IP prowess. From ACG WORLDS to Toho Co., Ltd., it was like walking through an otaku’s dream. Who said NFTs can’t be kawaii?

Decked out in retro console style with a cyberpunk twist, this area screamed “Japan is game!” We caught Square Enix’s “SYMBIOGENESIS” in action, dishing out NFTs to lucky visitors.
GOVERNOR KOIKE, “WEB3 IS GOING TO TRANSFORM TOKYO”
As WebX 2024 drew to a close, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike took the stage.

Governor Koike was beaming as she praised the event’s success. “By gathering people from all over the world in Tokyo, we’ve planted the seeds of open innovation,” she declared.
“We’re going to ride the blockchain wave all the way to becoming a top-tier international financial city,” she then announced. Turns out, Tokyo’s got a whole playbook – the “Global Financial City Tokyo Vision 2.0” – and Web3 is a star player.
From nurturing fintech startups to supporting the issuance of security tokens, Tokyo’s pulling out all the stops. Governor Koike’s message was clear: Web3 isn’t just coming to Tokyo, it’s going to transform it.
As the curtains fell on WebX 2024, we couldn’t help but feel we’d just gotten a sneak peek at the future. As we filed out of The Prince Park Tower, one thing was certain – next year’s WebX can’t come soon enough!
