CoinRank News: Stripe, a global payment platform, announced the launch of a US dollar stablecoin product test for companies outside the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, aiming to expand the global influence of the US dollar. The product is technically supported by Bridge, a stablecoin payment network recently acquired by Stripe. Bridge was founded in 2022 by former Coinbase executives Zach Abrams and Sean Yu. Its network competes with the SWIFT system and supports efficient cross-border transfers. Stripe CEO Patrick Collison confirmed on the X platform that the product has been the companys goal for nearly a decade and invited companies to participate in the test. Stripe previously launched a stablecoin payment option in October 2024, covering more than 70 countries on the first day. The current total market value of the stablecoin market is US$237.5 billion.
