CoinRank News: The surge in new users on the decentralized social platform BlueSky has also led to a sharp increase in harmful content, and the platform has launched a large-scale review campaign to remove harmful images on the network. BlueSkys security account said: We are experiencing a large influx of users, and with it, the amount of harmful content posted on the network has foreseeably increased, so for some very serious policy areas such as child safety, we have recently made some short-term review choices that prioritize recall over accuracy. Earlier this month, millions of users abandoned X and turned to other alternative platforms after President-elect Trump won. In the past three weeks alone, 35 million people have joined Metas Threads and 20 million have flocked to BlueSky. In September, a Brazilian judge banned users in the country from using X, after which a large number of new users flocked to BlueSky, and more than one million Brazilians also joined; in October, X owner Elon Musk said that X posts could be used to train Grok AI, after which the number of BlueSky users surged again. However, earlier this month, BlueSky reported a surge in spam, scams and bad reviews as it added new users, along with a surge in child sexual abuse content. (Decrypt)
