The United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a formal investigation into the $4 billion partnership between Amazon and artificial intelligence research firm Anthropic. The probe, which commenced on August 8, 2024, aims to scrutinize potential antitrust issues arising from this strategic alliance in the AI sector.
